At Gallery of Canvas Art, we take special care when preparing artwork for delivery. Since paintings and photographic prints can be delicate and valuable, we use appropriate packaging based on the size and nature of each artwork.
This Shipping & Returns Policy explains our shipping process, delivery timelines, damaged artwork procedures, returns, exchanges, and refunds.
1. Shipping
We offer shipping across India. International shipping may also be arranged upon request, subject to destination, shipping availability, applicable charges, and customs requirements.
Shipping charges and delivery timelines may vary depending on:
- Delivery location.
- Size and weight of the artwork.
- Packaging requirements.
- Shipping method.
- Courier availability.
- International customs requirements, where applicable.
Applicable shipping charges will be communicated or displayed during the ordering process, where applicable.
2. Order Processing
Orders are generally processed after payment has been successfully received and verified.
Processing time may vary depending on whether the artwork is ready for dispatch, requires special packaging, or is being created as a commissioned artwork.
Commissioned artworks may require additional production time. The expected completion and delivery timeline will be communicated separately.
3. Delivery Time
Estimated delivery timelines may vary depending on the destination and the nature of the artwork.
Delivery may take longer during:
- Public holidays.
- Festivals and peak seasons.
- Severe weather conditions.
- Courier disruptions.
- Remote-area deliveries.
- Unexpected logistical or operational circumstances.
Delivery estimates are therefore indicative and may vary depending on circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
4. Tracking
Where tracking is available, customers may receive shipment tracking information after the order has been dispatched.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that their name, phone number, email address, and delivery address are accurate and complete.
5. Inspection Upon Delivery
We strongly recommend checking the package carefully when it is delivered.
If the package appears visibly damaged, please take photographs of the outer packaging before opening it, where possible.
After opening the package, please inspect the artwork carefully and notify us promptly if you notice any damage or issue.
6. Damaged Artwork
If your artwork arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible, preferably within 48 hours of delivery.
Please provide the following information:
- Order number or order details.
- Photographs of the outer packaging.
- Photographs of the inner packaging.
- Clear photographs of the damaged artwork.
- A brief description of the damage.
- Any additional information reasonably requested by us.
The information provided may be used to assess the condition of the artwork and, where necessary, coordinate with the shipping provider.
7. Returns
Because many of our artworks are original, unique, limited, or specially prepared, returns are subject to prior approval.
Please contact us before sending any artwork back. Do not return an item without receiving return instructions from Gallery of Canvas Art.
Approved returns must generally be returned in their original condition and, where applicable, with the original packaging and accompanying materials.
Products that have been damaged after delivery due to improper handling, installation, storage, moisture, heat, or other customer-related causes may not qualify for a return.
8. Non-Returnable & Special-Order Items
The following products may not be eligible for return or cancellation, except where required by applicable law or where the artwork arrives damaged or defective:
- Commissioned artwork.
- Personalized artwork.
- Custom-sized artwork.
- Artwork specifically created or modified according to customer instructions.
- Items clearly identified as final sale or non-returnable.
Where applicable, specific return or cancellation conditions will be communicated before or during the ordering process.
9. Refunds
If a refund is approved, the refund amount and method will depend on the circumstances of the return and the original payment method.
Once the returned artwork has been received and inspected, we will communicate the applicable refund decision.
Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.
10. Exchanges
Exchanges are subject to artwork availability and prior approval.
Because original artworks may be unique pieces, an identical replacement may not always be available.
11. Return Shipping
Where a return is approved because of a damaged item, incorrect item, or another issue attributable to Gallery of Canvas Art, we will determine the appropriate return-shipping arrangement.
For returns requested for reasons other than an issue attributable to Gallery of Canvas Art, return shipping costs may be the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed.
12. International Orders
For international shipments, the customer may be responsible for customs duties, import taxes, local charges, or other fees imposed by the destination country.
Such charges are outside the control of Gallery of Canvas Art and may vary depending on the destination.
Customers are responsible for complying with applicable import requirements in their country.
13. Incorrect or Incomplete Delivery Information
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete delivery information at the time of placing an order.
Gallery of Canvas Art will not be responsible for delays, additional shipping charges, or failed deliveries resulting from incorrect, incomplete, or outdated information provided by the customer.
